Flight of Fancy, curatorial practice embodied between intuition and theory

Flight of Fancy is a nomadic curatorial project whose initiatives take the form of collaborations with other entities active in different domains: art spaces, publishing house, artists and theorists. Its founder, Alicia Reymond, is an independent curator. She applies a feminist curatorial strategy and insists on the reconciliation of the intuitive and the theoretical. Through exhibitions, but also podcasts, texts and performative events, she raises the question of self-theory as a methodology. Claiming at the same time the utopic, the undefined and the unachievable, Flight of Fancy’s projects pay special attention to the acting power of imagination, of fiction and of speculation. They generate optimistic scenarios capable of countering the dystopian realities that are too often presented to us as the only alternative.
