Annabelle Galland presents Higher performance, a piece that explores the world of gymnastics and portrays issues such as sorority and rivalry within the institution. Staged as a live documentary, the choreographed performance unfolds to the rhythm of a soundtrack composed of a voice-over stating fragments of written or recovered speeches, as well as musical interludes.
Annabelle Galland (1997, Geneva) is an artist who recently graduated from HEAD – Genève, where she lives and works. Her practice unfolds through media such as writing, installation, sculpture and performance. Right now she is developing a panel of reflections around emotivity, superficiality, human relations and the body.
