This year, the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève is co-producing seven exhibitions and events of the “PLEASE TRUST ME” program organized by Le Trou.
Inaugurated in April 2024, Le Trou is a project initiated by Montserrat Mayor and Agathe de Limoges with the contribution of Marie Lucas Scarpa for the exhibition texts. It was selected as part of our call for projects launched last year. It is an old garage pit transformed into an art space. Le Trou overturns the hanging system, by altering the traditional frontal relationship with the works and inviting the public to navigate the space in a new way. It was selected as part of our call for projects initiated in 2024 to coproduce work from local artists and institutions, during the renovation of the bâtiment d’art contemporain. The Centre coproduces “PLEASE TRUST ME”, a series of projects through which Le Trou transforms according to the imagination.
In this interview, Montserrat Mayor and Agathe de Limoges tell us more about Le Trou.
