“Aria” is a film, shot with a simple phone, powerful and poetic like few others. It is one of the works, among those produced for the Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement of the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève, to which I am most attached. Émilie Jouvet manages, with great gentleness and without arrogance, to make us understand what many still find difficult to understand: everyone has the right to love, to get married and to have children, not only heterosexual couples!
This film tells the story of the conception of the beautiful Aria, who – today – is in kindergarten and spends her confinement, with her mother, at her grandparents’ home in Marseille!
Long live Aria!
