Following the death this Monday of the famous film music composer Ennio Morricone, Guillaume Sorge proposes a 90-minute mix in homage to the Maestro. Morricone composed more than 500 film scores, including those for the westerns of his friend Sergio Leone, as well as collaborations with Brian de Palma, Quentin Tarantino, Roland Joffé and Elio Petri.
Prior to his death, Morricone wrote his own obituary: “I, Ennio Morricone, have died. I’m announcing my death to all my friends that have always been close to me and to those who I haven’t seen for a while. I salute them with great affection. There is only one reason that pushes me to send my farewell to all of you in this way, and for which I’ve decided to have a private funeral: I do not want to disturb.”
